Plant General Manager
Vincent Cuyvers graduated in 1992 as a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. Vincent has built up a large working experience in the Middle East, starting in Oman (Barka2 Combined Cycle Power and RO Desalination Plant), Bahrain (Aldur Combined Cycle Power and RO Desalination Plant), Oman (Barka3 Combined Cycle Power Plant), Qatar (RGPC Combined Cycle Power and MED Desalination Plant) and UAE Fujairah (F2 Combined Cycle Power and MED-RO Desalination Plant).
Since 2024, Vincent has been working in the United Arab Emirates as Plant General Manager of the Fujairah F2 O&M Company, a 2000 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant and 130 MIGD Water Desalination Plant operating with MED and RO technology. He reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Plant. His role includes implementing company strategies in operations to meet both short- and long-term financial and operational objectives.
Before moving to the UAE, Vincent was Chief Operating Officer at Ras Girtas Power Company (RGPC) in Qatar, a 2730 MW combined cycle power plant with a 63 MIGD MED desalination facility. As part of RGPC’s senior management team, he reported to the CEO, participated in Board meetings, and led the Operations and Maintenance teams. He also managed the completion of outstanding construction, repair and refurbishment activities by the EPC Contractor, including contractual, legal and commercial settlements with stakeholders. With the support of the CEO and business manager, an important milestone was reached when Vincent successfully protected RGPC by managing the outstanding bonds and finalizing the settlement with the EPCC.
